Holistic Somatic Therapy
for Trauma, Anxiety, and Burnout

Have you been trying to push through it all, but feeling "off," overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode?

This is a different approach to therapy. One that works with your nervous system, not just your thoughts.

A Different Approach to Therapy

Most therapy focuses on thoughts.  But anxiety, burnout, and emotional patterns don't just live in the mind - they live in the body and nervous system.

My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy by integrating nervous system regulation, somatic techniques, and holistic support so change doesn't just make sense, it actually happens.

Why Holistic Therapy?

Maybe you're the one who just keeps going, doing what is needed.  You show up, take care of everything, and push through stress - even when you're exhausted.

But underneath...

  • You feel anxious, tense, or overwhelmed

  • Your body never fully relaxes

  • You don't feel like yourself anymore, or maybe never did

  • Rest doesn't actually feel restful

You might not be able to explain it, but something feels off.

This isn't just in your head.

Your nervous system may be stuck in a constant state of stress. You've learned to adapt by pushing through, but your body is paying the price.

Holistic care means doing healing work where mental health meets the body.

Why Traditional Therapy Doesn't Always Work

If you've tried therapy before, you may have gained insight and awareness - but still felt stuck.

That's because:

You can't think your way out of a dysregulated nervous system

When your body is in survival mode, it will keep signaling stress, no matter how much you "understand" things logically.

To truly feel better, your body has to experience safety, calm, and regulation.

Bri Kern, holistic somatic therapist near Abington, PA

I specialize in trauma, grief, anxiety, and burnout using a somatic, mind-body approach.

This means we don't just talk about what's happening - we work with how it's showing up in your body. Using gentle, body-based techniques, we help your system release stored stress and shift out of survival mode.

Our work may include:

  • Somatic and Mindfulness therapy techniques

  • Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) to release emotions the body is holding on to

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to gently rebalance the mind and body

  • Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing)

  • Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) for nutrition-based support for the nervous system

These approaches allow us to uncover patterns that traditional talk therapy often misses.
